About Active Arden

Active Arden aims to support the local community to become more active and bring together interested residents to deliver sport and physical activity that is open to all members of the community.

We aim to use sport and physical activity to bring the community together, improving the physical and mental health of everyone and driving forward community integration. Opportunities will be open to everyone of all ages and be easily affordable and accessible breaking down the barriers to participation that currently exist within the Arden area.

Active Arden will also campaign towards improving the suitability of the area to provide sport and physical activity through investment within areas for play and generally getting active within the community. We will also look to support local volunteers through training and education of local people to ensure they have the skills necessary to deliver and maintain these activities.

Active Arden Objectives

  • To increase the number and range of opportunities for everyone from Arden to become and stay active especially those that are currently not active.
  • To develop the confidence of local residents to attend and volunteer within sport and physical activity contributing towards their local community.
  • Through engagement within the community, develop greater community integration, encourage friendships and pride within the area.
  • To work towards developing the physical appearance of Arden through the development of physical infrastructure for play and getting active.
